Author Spotlight with Cherie Summers

July 10, 2017

Creativity has always played a role in my life.  I began dance lesson at three, then baton lessons at age seven. During my childhood, I was a voracious reader with an active imagination.  Many times, I got in trouble for daydreaming in school and at home.  What the adults never realized was that I was creating stories in my mind.

As a teenager, I took up photography and a few years ago I rediscovered the art of the camera. At eighteen, I went to college to study broadcast journalism so I could be an MTV VJ.  But love got in the way, and ten years later I found myself re-entering college to study Communications.

My thirties were about discovering who I was and what path to take in life.  I was met with many disappointments in my career until I began teaching, specifically teaching writing.  I absolutely love working with words and enjoy passing that love on to my students.  As I approached forty, my life took another turn when I enrolled in bellydance classes.  My passion for dance was reignited.  I have performed all over Northeast Florida and now teach the class where it all began.

With my career in full swing, my feet once again dancing, and my eye on the viewfinder of my camera, there was only one creative dream left to fulfill.  Getting my stories published.  It was something always simmering on the backburner.  Over the years, I had returned to my first manuscript, to revise and rewrite, loving the characters I had created. I had also written the sequel and began planning a second sequel.  But as I approached my fiftieth birthday I knew it was time get serious about finding a publisher.  Now the dream of becoming a writer is a reality.  My characters have come to life, not just for me but for the world and I am ecstatic to be able to share yet another of my creative passions!

Life for me hasn't always been easy and there have been obstacles along the way.  There have been many times I've wanted to give up, and other times I just got complacent with life.  I'm glad I found the inspiration around me to move forward and continue with my creative endeavors.

Remember that while some people realize their dreams early in life, others of us have to wait a bit longer.  The important thing is to keep dreaming, do the things that bring you joy and move forward!.

Book One (1) - A Melody For Adrian

Absolutely no one stands up to Bolt Hall without suffering the consequences. But Melody does, stopping Bolt from bullying a fellow student, embarrassing him in front of his fellow classmates and tarnishing his badass reputation. Instead of being furious, Bolt finds himself tongue tied and completely turned on by her fiery courage.

Bolt Hall, with his torn jeans, ripped t-shirts and combat boots, dreams of being a punk rock superstar. Fame and fortune will be his, along with a different woman for every night of the week. In 1981, he is on his way. He has the look, the attitude, and a band that kicks ass. The last thing he needs is a distraction. And that’s just what she is. From the moment their paths clash, he vows to do whatever it takes to make Melody his. Even if she can’t stand the sight of him.

Melody Stewart grew up in a life of privilege with wealthy parents who packed her off to boarding school at a young age. As she returns to public school for her senior year, the only thing on her mind is fitting in. She isn’t trying to attract anyone’s attention, especially that of a rude punker intent on taking her virginity—someone who plans to use her, then discard her as he has done countless others. Melody is determined to fight Bolt’s advances even if it means denying her own infatuation with the spike haired rock star wannabe.

Melody and Bolt—so different, yet on fire for one another. Will they ever stop fighting long enough to fall in love?

Excerpt 1: “Shit!” he yelled as the sun reflecting off an incoming car momentarily blinded him.

“You guys see that?” Adrian’s gaze followed the car’s path into an open space close by. He had a thing for sports cars. Something passed down from his mechanic father.

“Candy apple-red Porsche. A fine piece of machinery”.

Adrian inhaled sharply as the driver stepped out of the door.

“Who is this” She was the most stunning girl he’s ever seen.

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t Miss Poetry USA herself,” he sneered viciously. “Having car trouble, are we?”

At the sound of his voice, Melody looked up, grimacing.

Even with a frown, she’s  gorgeous!

“Yes, but don’t think for one moment I want your help!”

Adrian rolled his eyes. This girl has some nerve! “Don’t think for one minute you’re going to get any of it!”

He stood over her, thumbs tucked into his pockets, watching as she tried in vain to loosen the lug nuts. After several minutes, she threw the tire iron down in frustration. Adrian tried to suppress a smile. There’s that temper again. I love it!

Melody looked like she was ready to breathe fire and roast him alive. Clearly furious, she stood up to face him.

“Are you just going to stand there and stare at me? You can stand there gloating all you want, but I swear I will not beg for your help.”

Tears of anger began to run down her cheeks. She wiped them away, leaving stains of grease across her cheeks. Adrian, who’d grown up around cars thought it looked sexy as hell.

“You said you didn’t want my help,” he said throwing his hands in the air. “I wish you’d make up your mind.”

“I was wrong, I do need help,” she conceded. Then pleaded, “Will you please help me? After all, this is your fault.”

“How is it my fault?”

“You’re the one that slashed my tire.”

“What?” He’d assumed she’d picked up a nail or something. Bending down beside her, he checked the tire. It had indeed been cut. Who would do this? He wanted to know as much as she did.

“What makes you think I’d do this?” He straightened back up.

“Because you hate me.” Melody put her hands on her hips. “Don’t tell me you’re going to deny it?”

“Yeah, I am,” he said, feeling a little hurt that she would automatically assume he was the guilty party. “I swear I had nothing to do with this.”

Melody folded her arms across her chest. She stared at him hard, obviously searching for the truth in his eyes. “Honestly?”

“Believe me,” Adrian explained. “I know a lot about cars and I’d never harm a nice car like this. These tires cost a lot of money. I wouldn’t pull a stunt like this when it’s obvious you’d accuse me and make me pay. I haven’t got that kind of money.”

Melody relaxed her arms and sighed heavily. “I guess it’s possible someone else could have done it.”

“Possible? Are you fucking kidding me? Anyone could have done it! You walk around here so high and mighty with your money and expensive car! You’ve got plenty of enemies because you act like a stuck up bitch!”

She clenched her fists by her sides and shook. “That’s not true! I’m nice to everyone!”

Everyone but me, Adrian thought to himself. Then chided himself for being weak.

“Hey, whether you like it or not, you’ve got a reputation and it’s not a nice one.”

Tears dropped from Melody’s eyes once more. “I can’t help that my parents have money or that they buy me nice things. I’m not a snob, though. I try to get along with everyone.”

Adrian felt himself caving in as new tears begin to slide down her cheeks. She was hurt and he silently cursed himself for upsetting her. No one thought badly of her. In fact, everyone adored her. He was the only person who didn’t get along with her. But, he had lied to her out of anger. And why am I so angry? Because she accused me of cutting the tire? Why do I want to take her in my arms now and comfort her? His feelings confused him.

“Hey, stop crying.” He took off the bandanna tied around his neck and wiped the tears, along with some of the grease from her face. Her white shirt was still smeared with dirt and grime. “You’re a mess.”

“I’m sorry I accused you of cutting my tire.” She sniffed and tried to smile through the tears. “I believe you didn’t do it.”

“It’s all right,” Adrian told her, his voice soothing now. “I’m sorry I said you were stuck up. I don’t know anyone who says you’re a snob. You might have an enemy or two, but only because the girls are jealous that all the guys like you.”

“They do not.” Melody blushed.

“Well, I know one who does.” What am I saying? He mentally scolded himself once more. I’m losing it.

In a genuine display of innocence, Melody cast her blue eyes downward, her cheeks turning even brighter pink.

Adrian sighed. Losing it big time.

 Book Two (2) - Adrian's Melody

After five years of separation Melody and Adrian are together once again and along with their daughter, Adrianna, are planning a happy future. Adrian’s band, Lightning, is a worldwide success and Melody is on her way to becoming a doctor.
However, Adrian’s plans to take time off from music to get reacquainted with his family are thwarted by a contractual agreement he must fulfill. With the band forced to hit the road again, the couple’s world begins to spin out of control as Melody becomes the object of desire for one of Adrian’s longtime friends. Adding fuel to the fire is Adrian’s former lover who will stop at nothing to get back into his bed. As the tour moves from city to city, the doubts and mistrust build. Suspicions turn into arguments. Arguments turn into fights. Fights into separations.
Adrian and Melody’s relationship is tested in the cruelest possible ways.
Will their fiery love survive? Or is it destined to turn to ash?

Adrian didn’t let Melody go until they were in the dressing room.

“Are you out of your mind?” she asked when he finally set her free. “I’m going to have bruises all over me.”

He said nothing. Instead he paced, fists clenched.

“Why are you upset? You embarrassed me. I should be upset with you.”

More anger swept over his face as he stopped and glared at her.

“Do you want him?”

Melody’s mouth dropped open. “What?”

Adrian closed in on her. “You heard me. You ran to his rescue. He’s always running to yours. What the fuck is going on with you two?”

“Ringo was hurt. I’m going to be a doctor someday. Doesn’t it make sense to help him?” Melody tried to turn from him, to put some distance between them.

He wouldn’t allow it. He grabbed her roughly, drawing her back to him. “Tell me you don’t want him.”

“You’re full of it.” She pushed at him, clearly agitated. “Let me go.”

She broke free, sat down on the couch, and sank her head into her hands.

“I won’t let him have you, Melody. You’re mine.”

She looked up, her face turning as red as her dress. Tears began to fall. “I’m not your possession. Stop treating me like one.”

Looking down at her, he folded his arms over his chest. He couldn’t find the words to say how he felt—how seeing her with Ringo, tenderly touching his face, had made him want to kill his friend.

“I’m your wife, Adrian. I love you. That will never change.”

She grabbed a box of tissues from an end table and dabbed her face dry. He stared at her, scowling.

“Ringo loves me,” she said softly before standing to face him. “I wish he didn’t. I spoke with him this morning, told him we can only be friends. He seemed to accept it, but I’m sure it didn’t make his feelings suddenly disappear.”

His face twitched slightly, but he remained stoic.

Throwing her arms around him, she hugged him tightly. “I’m sorry. I wish I could change things. You have to know, you’re the only one I want. If you don’t know that by now, you don’t know me at all.”

Adrian stood frozen, Melody wrapped around him, her glorious body pressed tightly against his. All he could think of was how much he loved her. As he felt her tears wet his face, his anger crept away. As the realization of tonight’s events sunk in, he began to feel like shit. He’d hit one of his best friends in a jealous rage. Even worse, he thought as he took Melody’s arms in his hands, he’d physically hurt his wife.

Melody watched as he examined the marks on her arm. “I’ll be fine.”

He felt horrible as he saw the damage he’d done to her skin. Already she was starting to bruise. Ringo? He’d carry a scar for life. And Adrianna? He’d put fear into his child’s eyes. How could he ever erase all the wrong doings of the night?

First things first, he thought as he gently brought Melody close to him. He comforted her until her tears subsided.

A soft knock sounded at the door. They both turned to see Kat enter, Adrianna’s sleeping form tossed over his shoulder. Carefully, he took his daughter from Kat.

Kat’s eyes were questioning.

“Let’s discuss it later.”

Excerpt 2

“Have any of you seen Melody?” Adrian asked returning to the dressing room. The first show had gone exceptionally well. Now all he wanted was to be with his wife.

The guys glanced around at one another.

“No,” Dagger answered finally. “We figured you’d be the first to find her.”

“I’ve looked all over. No sign.”

Ringo took a swig of beer. “Maybe she didn’t come.”

“Why wouldn’t she?” He scowled. He didn’t feel like another argument with his drummer.

“You upset her earlier.” Ringo eased off the couch and headed for the door. “Besides, the way you were cavorting on stage with Tempest, it’s probably best if she stayed at the hotel.”

Before Adrian could respond, Ringo was out the door, slamming it behind him.

The other guys stared at him. In their eyes, he saw questions.

“What? Don’t look at me that way. It’s a fucking show.”

Kat shook his head. “I’m with Ringo. If Melody was here, she’ll be even more upset. You and Tempest grinding on one another? Practically feeling one another up? You know it’s going to be all over the papers tomorrow.”

“I did the same shit with Sharice on the American tour.”

“You never fucked Sharice,” Kat reminded him.

Buzzy laughed out loud. “Sharice’s husband is like six-five and three hundred pounds.”

“What team does he play for?” Dagger asked.

“Da Bears.” Buzzy smiled and smacked a fist against his opposite hand. “A linebacker. The ones who crush the competition.”

Adrian threw up his hands. “This is ridiculous.”

“Because it’s the truth?” Kat glared at him.

“Fuck you!” Sneering, Adrian left so he wouldn’t have to hear any more of their stupid accusations. What the hell is up with my band? Lately, it seemed like they were always ganging up on him.

He walked back out onto the stage, picked up his guitar and started strumming, wanting to forget about Melody and remember the show. The London crowds were always the best. And like it or not, he and Tempest made magic together on stage. They always had. He’d thought maybe it might be lost now that Melody was in the picture. But it had been like old times, except instead of being laid up in some hotel room fucking Tempest, he was here all alone, wondering where his wife and daughter were.

“I like that song.” Tempest strutted up onto the stage.

He saw that she had changed clothes and was wearing a simple white t-shirt and curve hugging jeans. Only she had no curves. Straight and lean, so unlike Melody. He grunted a greeting and kept playing.

“New creation?”

He stopped abruptly, annoyed by her interruption. “Yeah.”

“You don’t have to go,” Tempest said as he began putting his guitar away.

“I need to get back to the hotel, to my wife.”

“She left already?”

“I don’t think she was ever here.”

“She didn’t see the show?” Tempest frowned. “It was such a great one.”

“Apparently not.” He picked up his case. “We had a misunderstanding earlier. Hopefully, she’s not too upset. But if she is, I need to straighten it out.”

“Oh, a misunderstanding?” Tempest cooed. “That’s too bad. I’m sure you’ll work it out. You worked things out after five years of separation.”

Adrian didn’t know why, but talking to Tempest was easy. Melody frustrated him at times. They had different backgrounds and different ways of looking at things. It actually made Melody appealing to him, the way they always butted heads. Her spirit, her fire had always impressed him. Tempest had it, too, only their backgrounds were more similar—broken homes, bad relationships, and rock and roll.

“Can you tell the guys I left? I don’t feel like talking to them right now.”

“Another misunderstanding?”

Fuck! How does she do that? “They’re very protective of Melody.”

“Especially Ringo.”

“Don’t remind me.”

“I’d keep an eye on that situation.”

He turned back to her. “Ringo may like her, but Melody loves me. Even if he did try something, she’d have nothing of it. She waited five years to be with me. She’s proved her loyalty.”

“Unlike you.”

“I’m proving it now.”

“Must be boring.”

He chuckled. “Melody is many things…boring isn’t one of them. She satisfies me in every possible way.”

“She was a virgin when you met her, though.”

“She’s a fast learner.”

“She has a great teacher.”

He laughed again. “I guess so. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Book Three (3) -  Coming Soon - Adrian & Melody

Can Adrian and Melody keep it together…or are they destined to be haunted by the ghosts of the past?

“So, tell me what’s been up with you guys?” Buzzy asked as they sat around the table eating dinner. “I’ve missed you.”

Adrian turned away and stuffed more of his baked potato into his mouth. Melody had come by earlier to drop off food for them before leaving to meet Annette. The two had decided on a location for the boutique and were meeting with an interior designer to plan out the décor. Danielle was babysitting the boys.

“Auditions are all set,” Kat announced. “They’ll all be coming into the studio a week from Saturday. About fifty have shown interest. We looked at their credentials, listened to tapes and narrowed it down to about twelve who sound like good candidates.”

“Including Giovanni, right?” Buzzy shoved a piece of broccoli into his mouth.

Adrian rolled his eyes.

“Yeah.” Dagger nodded. “His tape was damn good.”

Grinning, Buzzy nudged Dagger. “How’s Teona.”

Dagger smiled back and took a sip of water. “Teona’s great. Things are moving along nicely.”

“Fucked her yet?”

“Really, Bolt?” Dagger narrowed his eyes. “Is that all you ever think about? Did it ever occur to you that I might actually like this woman? I’m pursuing a relationship, not a piece of ass.”

Adrian sneered.

Buzzy turned to Kat. “How’s Annette with all the separation stuff?”

“She seems to be handling things well,” Kat answered. “The boys, too.”

“Adam still being a prick?”

Kat nodded slightly. “He left River View Hospital and is starting a private practice now. Claims to be busy and not able to see the boys much.”

Adrian huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. “Keeping tabs, huh? Guess you’ll be fucking Annette soon.”

“Don’t talk about her like that.”

“Why? You gonna punch me in the face, too?”

“Maybe someone should.” Dagger kicked Adrian’s chair. “You’re being an asshole tonight.”

“You were the one who suggested I date Annette, not me,” Kat reminded him. “She happens to still be married and probably has an ugly divorce ahead of her.”

“That hasn’t stopped Buzz,” Adrian grumbled.

“What the fuck are you talking about?” Buzzy shrugged before his eyes widened. “Danielle?”

“You were all over that at the pool party.”

“That?” Dagger questioned. “That is a sweet woman who has had a rough go at life. She’s very fragile, and the last thing she needs to be doing is starting a relationship of any kind.”

“Maybe you should explain that to him. I’m sure he’s been banging her. He bangs everything in sight, remember?”

“Fuck you, Bolt!” Buzzy leaped out of his chair, fists balled, green eyes radiating with anger. “I don’t know what the fuck is wrong with you, but you need to stop talking about these women like this! You know them. They’re decent and cool, like Melody. You’re not the only one who deserves to have a wonderful woman in his life.”

Adrian jumped up. Maybe this was his chance to hit something. He pushed Buzzy and immediately Kat had him on the ground. He squirmed and tried to get loose, but Kat had always been stronger than him, so it was no use.

Buzzy stood over them. “Obviously, something’s been going on since I last saw you. Dagger told me about the shit your dad pulled, but seriously that has nothing to do with me. Why are you fucking pissed at me and everyone else?”

He broke down. What the fuck? He hadn’t cried like that  in front of the guys in years. He hated doing so now, but the tears wouldn’t stop. Kat eased his hold on him. He sat up, and Kat wrapped an arm around him.

Buzzy dropped to his knees beside him and took him in his arms. “Bolt, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to yell at you.”

“Yeah, you did.” Adrian sniffed and got to his feet. Kat stood and then Buzzy. “And I fucking deserve it.”

“Maybe so, but don’t hit me or anything.” Buzzy grinned. “I’m a lover not a fighter like you and Kat.”

Adrian stared at his friend in disbelief. Even through his tears, he couldn’t help but smile. Buzzy was the most insanely silly person he had ever known.

“I know you’re a lover too and all, but the whole fighting thing was never my scene.”

Tears ran down his face again as he sat down. “I might not be a lover anymore.”

“Bolt, we discussed this.” Kat sat next to him. “Your sperm have nothing to do with your dick working.”

Dagger nodded. “He’s right. And I believe you’ve proven that a thousand times over.”

“I get it now.” Buzzy took his seat. “That’s why you’ve been so cranky today. You think you’re dick is broke.”

Adrian looked at Dagger, his serious friend. “Why would I not be able to get it up today when I tried to have sex with Melody?”

Buzzy’s mouth fell open. “Shit. His junk is broke!”

Kat smacked Buzzy on the head playfully. “Enough of your jokes or I won’t stop him from hitting you next time.”

We have a very special Treat for you today an exclusive Interview with Lightning  Its the First Interview the Band has given.

September 1982 - Lightning's first interview

Lightning has just released its first album, F*** You, and  are about to embark on their first tour of the States. I sat down with the band’s five members to get to know a little bit about them.

Interviewer: Hello guys, glad to meet you.  Can you introduce yourselves to the world?

Kat: I’m Kat Williams, bass guitarist.

Ringo:  I’m the drummer, Ringo Barber.

Dagger: Lead guitarist, Dagger Meyers.

Buzzy: (grins as he cracks his knuckles) My name’s Buzzy and I tinkle on the ivories.

(Laughter from all the guys…except one)

Interviewer: And you are…?

Bolt: Bolt Hall, leader of this band,  singer and guitarist

Interviewer: I have to ask, why the album title? Flipping the finger and telling people to F*** off? Doesn’t sound very inviting.

Buzzy(points to Bolt): All his idea.

Interviewer: So what’s that all about?

Bolt: It’s a fucking punk rock album, what do you expect? And it’s telling all the people who didn’t believe in me…who weren’t there for me…who aren’t here for me now…to fuck off.

Interviewer: So this album and the songs are very personal for you?

(Bolt narrows his eyes and starts to answer, but Kat interrupts)

Kat: Dagger, Bolt, and me write the lyrics. So yeah, some songs are Bolt’s personal feelings, but others are ours.

Buzzy(nods in Ringo’s direction): They’re a lot angrier than us. We just want to play music.

Interviewer: What are you angry about?

Dagger: Lot of injustice in the world.

Interviewer: Can you give me an example?

Kat: We just got out of high school and you can see the stupidity of the hierarchy there. You got the jocks and the bitchy girls who are always most popular because they drive the fancy cars and wear the latest designer clothes. While the kids who might look a bit different or who don’t have much are nobody and treated like crap.

Interviewer: Speaking of high school, you’re all very young…

Buzzy (interrupts and points at Dagger): Except him…he’s like thirty.

Interviewer: Really?

Dagger (shakes head and groans): Don’t listen to this clown. I’m 20 because I failed two grades.

Ringo: He’s got dysentery or something.

Dagger (shakes head again): I’m dyslexic, but once I was diagnosed I was okay with school.

Interviewer: How did you get involved in music?

Ringo:  There are five kids in my family.  We all had to choose an instrument and learn to play. I chose drums. Buzzy was always hanging out at my house so he learned piano when my sister’s instructor would come over.

Kat: My dad’s a musician so we always had instruments around the house and he taught me.

Dagger: My dad was a huge fan of Hendrix and Clapton. He tried to teach himself to play guitar but was never that good.  One day I just picked up his guitar and tried to play. I taught myself a few songs from the radio. So he let me have lessons.

(silence as everyone looks at Bolt)

Interviewer: And you Bolt?

Bolt (rolling his eyes): My mom taught me piano. My dad bought me a guitar when I was older and I taught myself to play.

Kat: Wasn’t your mom classically trained?

Bolt (sighs): Something like that.

Interviewer: You don’t seem to like talking about your family Bolt.

Bolt: Like the album says “Fuck you!”.

Interviewer: Is that a message to your parents

Bolt: Not my dad.

Buzzy (whispers): His dad died. We don’t discuss it.

Interviewer: Oh sorry. Let’s get back to how you formed the band.  You met in high school?

Kat (points at Dagger, Ringo, and Buzzy): We all met first and created the band. I used to sing, but my voice isn’t that strong for a lead.  Bolt transferred in and came strolling into class with a guitar case. He and I got to talking and I invited him to audition.

Ringo: Needless to say he made the cut. And he already had his nickname picked out, and it helped us with a band name.

Buzzy(throws arms up): The rest is history!

Dagger: When we were juniors, we won a battle of the bands contest and got hired to perform regularly at a club called The Haze. That’s where we really got going.

Interviewer: And how did you get discovered by StarNote?

(Everyone turns their attention to Bolt. He frowns and shakes his head)

Interviewer:  Is this another thing you don't discuss?

Bolt: No. A scout from their company was at The Haze one night and heard us. He signed us on the spot because we’re that fucking good.

Ringo: He’s our manager now…George.

Interviewer: Well, I saw this morning that your first single is in the top 10. What are you hoping to accomplish in the future?

Buzzy (yawns and puts his head on Dagger's shoulder): A nap would be nice.

Kat (chuckles):  Or a good night’s sleep.  Since coming to California in June we've worked nonstop.

Dagger (smiles and pushes Buzzy away): But it’s the work we’ve always dreamed of.

Ringo: Yeah. It’s been amazing.

Kat: It’s starting to pay off now and once we get out on the road it will pay off even more.

Interviewer: Living the rock star life?

Kat: We’ll have fun but we’ll also invest and spend our money wisely so we don’t end up broke.

Dagger: We want to be set for life financially but the main goal is making good music.  Our music. The way we want it to sound.  I can’t wait for the tour.  If it’s successful, which I’m sure it will be, they’ll be a world tour afterward. We’re all looking forward to travelling overseas.

Interviewer: Bolt, do those plans sound good to you?

Bolt: Of course. But I have another goal, too.

Kat (rolls eyes and whispers): Oh shit, here we go.

Bolt (leans back on sofa and places his legs on the coffee table): I plan to fuck as many women as possible.

Interviewer: That does seem to be a fringe benefit of being a musician.

Bolt: Women love rock stars and I plan to take full advantage of anyone offering up pussy to me.

Interviewer: You’re a ladies man then?

Ringo: He just likes fucking.

Bolt: Yeah, no drama. No bullshit.  Just fucking.

Buzzy: But there was this one girl that he…

Bolt (sneers while he glares at Buzzy): There was what?

Buzzy: Oh yea, never mind that was Kat.

Interviewer:  So, Kat has a girlfriend then?

Kat: No, none of us have had a serious girlfriend in a while. (Looks at Bolt, then at ground)  We don’t have time.  It’s been all about music. Rehearsing, writing new material, performing…and it’s all good. There’s always girls around. We just don’t let it get serious. (again looks at Bolt)

Interviewer: There’s a powerful love song on the album though. Burned by Love. I believe it’s one of yours, Bolt.  Did someone break your heart in order for you to write such a poignant song?

(Bolt stamps his feet back to the ground, gets up and leaves)

Interviewer: Guess that answers my question

Bolt (shouts): Let’s go! We’re leaving!

Buzzy (whispers): There’s just some things he’s very sensitive about.

Interviewer: I see.  Well, it’s been great talking to you guys.  I wish you success with the album and tour.  I’m sure I’ll see you again soon.  Before we go, any last words?

Kat: Thanks to the fans for buying our record. We look forward to seeing you on the road.

Dagger: What he said.

Ringo: Yea, come out and see us. We’re even better live.

Buzzy (leaps to his feet): Hide your daughters! Bolt’s coming! In more ways than one!
